After significant lineup changes, Detroit Emerald’s leader Abe Tilmon returned in 1977 with a revived version of the group and a slicker, updated sound. Taking cues from the massive success of other disco influenced soul and R&B acts of the time, Detroit Emeralds incorporated similar arrangements into their spotless, traditional sound.
